Forest Restoration After Wildfire in Canada: Knowledge Gaps and Future Needs Analysis
This study is being carried out by Forests Canada and the Reforest Canada Collective (RCC). Aimed at forest management professionals and silvicultural companies who plant trees, the objective of this study is to gather insight into current and emerging approaches to tree planting after wildfire, identify knowledge gaps and future needs for technical information, as well as develop future resources on the topic. Your participation will contribute to a better understanding of post-wildfire tree planting practices. If your experience would be better shared through a conversation, please let us know and we can set up a phone or video call with you.
The completed study will be made publicly available in the RCC’s Knowledge Hub. While this survey is not anonymous, any data provided will be aggregated with the entire response pool to report on overall trends. If you have any concerns about how the information provided in this survey will be used or stored, please contact us.
This survey should take approximately 15-20 minutes to complete, closing on July 31, 2025.
If you have any questions about this survey, contact the Project Manager, Amber Brant at abrant@forestscanada.ca
