Forest Recovery Summit
The Forest Recovery Summit is a first-of-its-kind, highly interactive gathering that will bring together organizations from across the forest recovery system.
Over two days, participants will explore the key challenges and barriers limiting the scale of forest recovery efforts across Canada. Through participatory sessions and open dialogue, the Summit will focus on building shared understanding, identifying solutions, and shaping a collective roadmap for action.
Together, we’ll work toward visioning a future where forest recovery is recognized and supported as an essential national competency for community adaptation and resilience to climate change, vibrant local economies, and biodiversity renewal at scale.
Date: November 25-26, 2026
Location: Toronto, Ontario
Who should indicate their interest:
Organizations and practitioners from across the forest recovery system, including: planting organizations, nurseries, seed and stock organizations, Indigenous organizations, funders, aggregators, project developers, restoration professionals, and silviculturists. If you don’t see your role or organization reflected here, you’re still encouraged to indicate your interest and share the perspective you would bring to the conversation.
To support thoughtful dialogue and a diversity of perspectives, participation will be limited. Submitting your interest helps us understand interest in the event, but does not guarantee an invitation to register
Format:
The Forest Recovery Summit will take place in person and feature a series of highly interactive workshops and facilitated conversations. To support meaningful dialogue and participation, attendance will be limited. Please indicate your interest in being considered for participation.
Cost: To be determined, but will be kept low to maximize participation
We recognize that small and/or remote and/or Indigenous-led organizations play a critical role in the forest recovery system and that the costs of in-person participation can be a barrier. If cost would limit your ability to attend, please indicate this in the indication of interest form. Support options will be explored to help enable participation.
